Remote Work Experience
I've worked independently as a life coach since 1986, online since 1999. I work remotely and also have a co-working space that I pay to have access to 24/7 when needed. Right now I'm building a remote company called HabitHelpdesk.com, productivity coaching by text to make your intentions stick. I also teach a 'micro' method for making online courses (https://makeacourse.co) where people show up on Zoom with an idea or no idea and make a course in a weekend.
I think these are 3 important parts to being successful as a remote worker
3 keys to remote work: (1) the right mindset that allows for self-management and motivation, (2) a series of micro habits that support getting the work done without losing focus, (3) the willingness to put your oxygen mask on first, meaning investing in your own personal and professional growth, health, and fitness.
Here's how I plan to contribute to The Remote Clan
Share what's working and what's not from my experience. Help others develop micro habits for remote work productivity.
Here's what I want to gain from The Remote Clan
Meeting others who work remotely, hearing their stories, and discovering which tools and practices work for them. Also, introductions to people interested in improving remote work productivity.
These are the 2 best topics to start off a conversation with me
What's your #1 productivity tool or practice and why? What's the #1 thing you've learned about yourself working remotely?
