Apple’s new hybrid model that requires their employees to return to the office three days a week starting early September, has not been received well. With a common uproar against the policy, the employees are demanding more flexibility.

Nevertheless, Apple has been extremely firm on this front, not budging to the consensus. To learn more, refer this Blog.

Left with no choice, the employees advocating for remote work, have expressed their worries on the company Slack channel, that they’d have to quit Apple due to the strict policy.

One employee who is currently on an American with Disabilities Act accommodation, that allowed them to work from home, was told that their accommodation would be denied once the policy is implemented. They wrote on the slack channel,

“I will be out of a job in September,”

Employees are citing similar struggles and are hoping to get the administration's attention by writing another letter to reiterate their concerns. A few employees might pursue legal action.

This ongoing feud is evidence of the growing popularity of remote work. With both sides unwilling to settle, this could turn into a long battle.
