Facebook is expanding its Portal lineup with two new smart display devices, Portal Go and Portal Plus (2nd gen). Portal Go is battery-powered with a handle for portability, designed for video-calling with a 12-megapixel camera and 1,280x800-pixel-resolution screen. Portal Plus has a 14-inch rotating display, ideal for remote work with teleconferencing apps. Both devices feature panning and zooming capabilities, improved voice assistant integration, AR features, and a Household Mode for family use. However, privacy concerns about Facebook's data collection practices persist, and competition from tablets with broader app stores remains. Portal Go is priced at $199, while Portal Plus costs $349.
